Today Tungsten Alloy Market

Today Tungsten Alloy Market

A new round of resumption of work is ushered in China this week, with a marked increase in vehicles and pedestrians on Monday. However, the industry is still worried about the supply of tungsten raw materials, especially tungsten concentrates. On the one hand, it is difficult for frontline employees to return to work and the rising cost of mining companies affects the plant operating rate. However, the local epidemic prevention and control over logistics has not been lifted.

According to data from the tungsten alloy industry, as of February 16, 57% have resumed production and 43% have not resumed production. The main reasons for not resuming production for the time being have not been approved by the local government for resumption of work, a small number of enterprises have resumed production due to difficulties in returning employees to the work or the local epidemic. Some enterprises are expected to start work after the 20th, and some companies have not yet made clear their expectations.

The tightening of the supply of raw materials is expected to drive the tungsten market as a whole in a stable state in the short term, but the long-term market still needs to pay attention to the overall macroeconomic operation and consumption in downstream infrastructure, automobiles, 3C and other fields. International Monetary Fund (IMF) president Kristalina Georgieva said on the 12th that it is too early to judge the economic losses caused by the virus outbreak, but the impact on global growth should be "minor." The IMF predicts that China's economy may show a "V-shaped" growth under the new crown epidemic, that is, China's economic activity has decreased sharply, followed by a sharp recovery.

Tungsten alloy industry data shows that in February 2020, the average domestic tungsten market price: 55 degrees black tungsten concentrate 90,000 yuan / standard ton, the month-on-month increase of 3500 yuan / standard ton; ammonium paratungstate 139,500 yuan / ton, 1 The monthly quotation is increased by 4500 yuan / ton; the medium-grain tungsten powder is 224 yuan / kg, which is an increase of 10 yuan / kg from the previous month.

Tungsten alloy industry data released, February 2020 long single quotation (13% VAT): black tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) 90,000 yuan / standard ton, white tungsten concentrate (WO3≥55%) 88,500 yuan / Standard ton, ammonium paratungstate (national standard zero) 139,500 yuan / ton, month-on-month reports from January are up 2500 yuan / ton.
