Tungsten Alloy Electroplating

Mar 14, 2026|

Among several major electroplating processes, chromium electroplating is wear-resistant and low-cost, but it causes severe environmental pollution and is not resistant to chloride ion corrosion; electroless nickel-phosphorus plating is corrosion-resistant but not wear-resistant, and its cost is also high; thermal spraying has good technical indicators, but its high production cost makes it difficult to promote on a large scale.

The application of tungsten alloy electroplating in the petroleum machinery industry not only solves the pollution problem caused by chromium electroplating, but more importantly, it can improve the performance of various key components in China's petroleum machinery manufacturing industry, bringing about a transformation to the entire petroleum machinery manufacturing industry and promoting the overall upgrading of the industrial chain. In particular, anti-corrosion and anti-sulfur well arms and anti-sulfur drill pipes can be used in extreme corrosive environments with H2S content greater than or equal to 150,000 PPM and Cl- content reaching 150 g/L, enabling my country to reach an internationally leading level in this industry and solving the current situation where my country relies on imported high-end drilling and production equipment.
