Tantalum has a density of 16.65 g/cm³ and a melting point of 3017°C. These physical properties make tantalum round bars suitable for specific applications in semiconductors, chemical equipment, medical implants, and aerospace components. However, each project has different requirements for the diameter tolerance, length, surface condition, and purity grade of the rods. Standard tantalum rods are difficult to directly match your drawings.
What we do is straightforward: we process tantalum raw materials into the shape and size of rods you need according to your drawings or technical requirements.
What we can customize
Size range: Diameters from a few millimeters to hundreds of millimeters, lengths cut to order. You provide the drawings, we manufacture according to them. Tolerance grades can be aligned with ASTM B365 or your specified standards.
Purity grades: Tantalum purity ranges from 99.5% to 99.95% or even higher. Higher purity means lower levels of impurity elements (such as iron, nickel, and tungsten). Different purities correspond to different applications. You tell us where you will use it, and we will help you choose the appropriate purity grade.
Surface Finish: Turning, polishing, grinding, and even a black skin (unprocessed surface) are all possible. Surface roughness is controllable; specific values will be provided according to your requirements.
Special Treatments: If your application requires annealing, forging, or other post-processing, please inform us in advance, and we will add this step to our machining process.
