Important Operating Note: Molybdenum oxidizes rapidly above 600 deg C in air. Applications must be strictly restricted to vacuum, hydrogen, or inert gas (argon/nitrogen) environments to prevent catastrophic material degradation.
Core Performance Advantages
Low Impurity Profile (99.95% Purity): Minimizes high-temperature vaporization and prevents contamination of sensitive melts, ensuring high chemical stability during prolonged processing.
Low Thermal Expansion & Thermal Shock Resistance: Controlled grain structure achieved through sintering and precision machining reduces thermal stress, preventing cracking during rapid heating and cooling cycles.
High-Temperature Mechanical Strength: Retains structural rigidity under load at elevated temperatures, resisting creep and geometric deformation during long production runs.
Precision CNC Machining Tolerances:
• Diameter: +/-0.05 - 0.10 mm
• Height: +/-0.10 mm
• Wall Thickness: Uniform throughout the vessel to prevent localized overheating.
Optimized Surface Finish: Smooth interior and exterior finishes reduce surface defects, facilitating cleaner material unloading and minimizing residue accumulation between batches.
Manufacturing Process & Quality Control
Raw Material Screening: High-purity molybdenum powder undergoes strict chemical composition verification prior to production.
Powder Compaction: Utilizes uniform pressing (including Cold Isostatic Pressing for large dimensions) to secure consistent density across the crucible body.
High-Temperature Sintering: Controlled atmosphere sintering increases material density and structural integrity, verified via microstructural analysis.
CNC Machining: Critical dimensions, threads, and seating edges are finished on multi-axis CNC equipment based on customer drawings.
Final Inspection & Packaging: Dimensional checks, visual surface inspections, density verification, and export-grade protective wooden crating are performed prior to dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can you manufacture according to our drawings?
A: Yes. We manufacture custom molybdenum crucibles based on customer drawings, CAD files, samples, or detailed dimensional requirements. Both standard and complex geometries are supported.
Q: What is the maximum operating temperature?
A: Pure molybdenum crucibles can generally operate continuously at 1800 deg C - 2000 deg C in vacuum or inert gas environments. In oxidizing atmospheres, oxidation begins at around 400 deg C - 600 deg C, so protective gas or vacuum conditions are recommended for high-temperature use.
Q: Can the crucibles be used in air?
A: They are not recommended for prolonged high-temperature use in air. Molybdenum oxidizes rapidly above approximately 600 deg C. For applications in air, protective coatings or alternative materials may be more appropriate.
Q: Do you support small trial orders?
A: Yes. Sample orders and prototype production are available before mass production, allowing customers to verify dimensions, fit, and performance. Standard sample lead times are typically 2 to 3 weeks.
Q: What quality inspections are performed?
A: Each production batch undergoes rigorous inspections for raw material composition, dimensions, density, surface finish, visual defects, and packaging. A full Material Test Report (MTR) can be provided upon request.
