Product Features

1.High purity ensures superconducting performance

We employ the zone melting purification technology to keep the oxygen content below 500 ppm. The lower the oxygen content, the higher the superconducting critical magnetic field. This is the core reason why our products can successfully pass the MRI equipment certification.

 

2. The colored oxide film is a quality indicator, not a defect.

The rainbow-colored oxide layer that naturally forms on the surface after drawing indicates sufficient niobium content and low impurities. This layer also enhances the corrosion resistance, and in humid environments, its lifespan is approximately 40% longer than that of ordinary niobium wires.

 

3. Uniformity of drawing is controlled within ±2%

We employ an independently developed micro-tension online detection system to monitor the wire diameter fluctuations in real time during each drawing process. This ensures the consistency of the resistance of the entire coil of wire, and customers will not encounter the problem of "usable in the first few meters but not after that".

Product Application

1.Medical MRI superconducting magnet

The core of MRI is the superconducting coil that generates a strong magnetic field. The critical magnetic field (approximately 0.2T) and critical temperature (9.2K) of niobium precisely match the liquid helium cooling environment. Our low-oxygen content process enables the coil to operate without attenuation for a long time, which is the most important criterion for hospitals when making purchases.

 

2. Particle Accelerators and Research Facilities

The accelerator cavities require the material to remain undistorted and not release gas under intense radiation. The low gas release rate of niobium (<10⁻¹⁰ Torr·L/s·cm²) makes it the only option, and our high-purity process further reduces the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.

 

3. Aerospace high-temperature resistant components

The melting point of niobium is as high as 2477°C, and its density is only half that of steel. Our fine wire products can be used as lead wires for engine hot-end sensors and will not break under extreme temperature differences.

The customization offered by China Super Tech Co., Ltd. is not a simple "cut according to size", but rather a process matching based on your specific application scenario. Here are things that we can do, but most other suppliers cannot:

 

1.Diameter customization: Tolerance ±1%, while the industry typically has only ±5%.

Supports any custom length ranging from 0.05mm to 3.0mm. This relies on our own production line's micro-tension online detection system, which automatically corrects the deviation during each drawing process. The tighter tolerance means higher consistency in your coil winding and lower waste rate.

 

2. Length Customization: The longest single reel is 5000m, with no joints.

Many suppliers can only offer reels of 500m each, with joints in the middle. Our continuous winding process enables us to deliver reels of 500m to 5000m without joints. This is a strict requirement for scenarios like MRI magnet winding where welding points are not allowed.

 

3. Surface Treatment: Choose one of the three options as needed

You can choose mechanical polishing, electrolytic polishing, or keep the original oxide film. The choice depends on your application - MRI coils usually need polishing to reduce eddy current losses, while research-grade coils retain the oxide film for better corrosion resistance. We will confirm with you during the order process instead of defaulting to one option.

 

4. Annealing process: Vacuum annealing or no annealing, it's up to you

The superconducting coil needs to be stress-relieved. We offer a vacuum annealing solution; if you are using the leads for a high-temperature sensor, the non-annealing high-strength state is actually more suitable. Both of these solutions we can provide, and you don't need to look for an external contractor yourself.

 

5. Delivery Time and Traceability: Up to 7 working days at the earliest, fully traceable throughout the process

We have our own drawing production line and do not go through middlemen. From receiving the order to shipping, the process is completed within the shortest 7 working days. The process parameters of each batch of products (such as pass/failure temperature, tension value, test data) are fully recorded. A COA material certificate is attached with the goods, and third-party re-inspections such as SGS are supported.

Will the rainbow color on the surface affect the conductivity?

No. The thickness of the oxide layer is only a few tens of nanometers, which does not affect the overall conductivity. On the contrary, this layer indicates that the niobium is of high purity, and it is an intuitive indicator of quality.

What is the minimum order quantity?

For regular specifications, an order of 1 disc (0.5kg) is required. For custom specifications, the minimum order quantity is 0.2kg, depending on the diameter.

How long is the delivery time usually?

For regular stock specifications, the delivery time is 3 working days; for customized specifications, it is 7 to 15 working days because we need to conduct purity rechecks for each batch.

Can you provide material certificates and test reports?

Yes. For each batch of shipment, a COA (material certificate) is included, which contains ICP purity testing, tensile test, and actual measured data of wire diameter. Third-party retesting by SGS and others is also supported.

Compared to other suppliers, what is the main difference between you?
