1. Extremely resistant to high temperatures, with minimal thermal deformation

The melting point of niobium is 2468°C, and its thermal expansion coefficient is among the lowest among refractory metals. After heating, the size change is extremely small. This means that long-term high-temperature components such as rocket nozzles and turbine pumps will not misalign due to thermal expansion and contraction - this is the core reason why customers choose niobium instead of molybdenum or tungsten.

 

2. Corrosion-resistant, with built-in protective film

The surface of niobium naturally forms a dense niobium oxide film, which has natural resistance to strong acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. In chemical scenarios, the lifespan of niobium components can reach 80% of that of tantalum components, while the cost is approximately 40% lower - the cost-performance advantage is obvious.

 

3. Biocompatibility, capable of withstanding any sterilization method

Pure niobium is non-toxic and non-magnetic, does not react with human tissues, and can withstand all sterilization methods such as high-pressure steam and ethylene oxide. This is the fundamental reason why it can be used in implant devices such as bone plates and cranial screws.

 

4. Processing performance is superior to that of tungsten and molybdenum

Among refractory metals, niobium has the best processing properties. By optimizing the tool path and cooling scheme, we can stably process micro holes with a diameter of 0.03mm and deep holes with a depth of 300mm.

1.Aerospace engine components

The temperature of the rocket combustion chamber exceeds 3000°C. The niobium C103 alloy (89% niobium + 10% hafnium + 1% titanium) still maintains high strength and oxidation resistance at this temperature. Almost all jet fighter engine components in the United States contain niobium alloy parts. This is determined by its high-temperature strength and cannot be replaced by any ordinary metal.

 

2. Medical Implant Devices

Nickel does not release metal ions, does not interfere with MRI examinations, and does not cause rejection after implantation. The nickel bone plates we process have passed ISO 10993 tests and are suitable for orthopedics and neurosurgery.

 

3. Core Components of Chemical Equipment

In the hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid workshops, the stainless steel corrodes and develops holes within a few months. However, niobium, due to its self-repairing property of the oxide film, can operate stably for more than 5 years. We have replaced the expensive tantalum components with niobium heat exchanger tube plates for several chemical projects.

 

4. Superconducting Magnet Cavity

Pure niobium has a zero resistance below 9.2K (-263.95°C), making it the core material for particle accelerators and MRI superconducting magnets. We control the surface roughness to be within Ra 0.5μm to ensure that the superconducting properties are not compromised by surface defects.

Anodizing (blue/green/gold), electrolytic polishing, chemical etching and other surface treatments can all be completed within the factory without outsourcing. This means you have fewer suppliers to manage and the delivery schedule is more controllable.

 

4. Delivery within 15 days at the earliest

There is no minimum order quantity limit. We can handle micro-pores with a diameter of 0.03mm up to large plates measuring 500×800mm. Standard custom items are delivered within 10 to 20 working days. Rush orders can be negotiated.
